11-My trip to Madrid

Hi, we are Xènia Salellas, Eloi Compta, Cristina Düthmann and Hug Serra. And today we are going to talk about the trip to Madrid.The first day we went to visit Congreso de los Diputados. After visit, we went to have lunch in Museo del Jamón. After that we visited the Prado Museum. We also went to relax in Parque del Retiro and saw the Puerta de Alcalá. At night we went to have dinner in Fresco restaurant and finally we went to the hotel.On the second day we went to Plaza del Sol and we saw important Madrid monuments. We also visited the Plaza Mayor. Then, we went to Almudena cathedral and we also visited the Palacio Real gardens. In the afternoon we visited the Xi'an warriors exhibition and then we walked around Neptuno and Cibeles squares. We also saw the majestic city hall. In the evening we had the famous “Bocata de Calamares” in Plaza Mayor.On the third day morning we packed our suitcases. Then we walked across the Gran Via and we saw the Plaza España. After that we walked around the Debod temple and then we visited the Senado. In the afternoon we went to the station and we took the train to Girona. It was a fantastic trip.

My name's Xènia Salellas and I live in South London. I like the area where I live, so I want to improve it.

In my opinion there isn't anywhere for young people to go. There aren't any facilities for them. As a result, young people spend all their time hanging around on the street. There are sometimes problems with the vandalism and graffiti.

I think the council should do something about this. I'm sure they must have some local place to use for a youth café.

Writing a biography of Migel Ángel Silvestre Rambla: 
Miguel Ángel Silvestre Rambla is a Spanish actor. Now he's 32 years old and live in Madrid. He was born in Castellón de la Plana in 1982. He was going to become a tennis player, but her aunt introduced him in the world of theatre. He started learning interpretation, movement, modern dance and acrobatics with a tutor. He made the dubbing for a character in ”One Piece” . He became famous with the character “El Duque” in the series called “Sin tetas no hay paraíso” in Telecinco between 2008-2009. But during his career he did different films, series and theatre. Now he is doing another series called “Galerias Velvet” in Antena 3, his character is Albeto the protagonist. He won the” Premi Ondas 2008” for the best actor in national fiction.

7- A report about a survey

A report about a survey:

The topic of the survey was “ Your opinions about the future”. A group of twenty people did the survey and in general they were positive about the future. These are the results:

Most people think that the humans will exist in the next millennium, and some of the group think that the world will be a better place in the future. Most people think that the world will be a better place because there will be lots of advances with technology. They think that we won't be more intelligent in the future.

More than half of the group think that space travel will be normal in the next century, and some of the people in the class think that humans will live on other planets in the future

Everybody says that in the future they will travel into space if they have the chance.

5- A brave rescue

The rescue happened while we were on holiday in Tignes last January. It was very impressive and I was lucky to get a photo of it.

I was with my family and we were skiing. We were skiing down the mountain when we saw one boy who was falling from the top. Then the guards went to save him.

The guards took the boy to a safe place and checked if the guy was alive. The securities told us that we showed move away because a helicopter would come for the boy and would take him to the hospital.

6.1- A biograpgy of Joaquín Cortés

Joaquín Cortés is a Spanish dancer. He was born in Córdoba in 1969. He moved to Madrid in 1981 and to New York in 1999.

He started and learned dance when he was twelve years old and he danced in the Spanish National Ballet with fifteen years old.

His most famous shows are Pasión Gitana, Soul and Live. Their shows are popular because they are explosive, original and athletic.

4-An event in the past

A memorable day:
I remember my aunt’s wedding eight months ago.
It was an incredible day.

First, me and my uncles went to the house of the bride in Girona. After that we went to Torroella de Mongri because the ceremony and the lunch was there.
The weeding started at 1 o’clock, the church was really beautiful, similar to a castle. Then there was the arrival into the castle and after that we lunch outside in an arbour. I sat with my cousins and during the lunch we laughed a lot. 

I remember clearly how me and my cousins were dancing at the dance floor and then all the guests came to dance with us. It was a really fun day and I felt very happy with my family.

3-My ideal home

Here we are in my ideal home. It’s a big mansion near the sea. It’s got 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a kitchen and a big living room. My bedroom has got a big window and you can see the beach from it.

On an ideal evening in my ideal home we’re all here. My mum and dad are watching a film on a big television. I’m lying on the hammock outside and I’m listening music with my mp3 player.

My favorite room is the bed room. It’s got a big wardrobe and a television. I like this room because I can relax in my bed watching TV or listening to music.

1-My last summer

Hi my name is Xènia and now I'm going to talk about my last summer.

First I'm going to explain my trip to Lourdes then I will talk about the summer school of dance, theatre and music. After that I'm going to explain the days in Andorra and Ripoll and finally I will explain the week in Empuriabrava

THE TRIP TO LOURDES:

The week in Lourdes was amazing, I had a great experience. Lourdes was fantastic because there were lots of people with diseases and all of them had the courage to go there for the miracles.

My job was to accompany the patients to the different churches and to the cave. I carried the people to different places with a “Xino” which is similar to a cart.

Every day I got up at 6 o'clock because breakfast was at 7.00, lunch was at 12.00 and dinner at 7.00 o'clock. In the evening I went with my group to bars to eat something because we finished work at 10.00 pm. and some days we were very hungry.

Every day the girls we had to wear a white apron and we had to have the hair tied back.

I enjoyed a lot the experience and the following week I was back again.

THE SUMMER SCHOOL:

In the month of July I went to a summer school of dance, theater and music. I liked it a lot because I love dance, singing and drama. During 5 weeks we prepared a musical .

I also met other girls.

ANDORRA AND RIPOLL:

These days were fantastic I stayed with my family one night in Ripoll and four days in Andorra.

Ripoll has a beautiful church and it is a small town but I like it.

Then I went to Andorra it’s a long way by car but worth it. In Andorra there were lots of shops and we went to each of them. I also visited different places there.

EMPURIABRAVA:

I went to Empuriabrava for a week with my family. I swam in the sea and I went shopping.

One day I went to dinner in a restaurant and I ate seafood. It was a great week.

I also stayed at home and I helped my parents in the rural house because we had British guests and gave me the opportunity to speak English. During the summer I also met friends and I swam in the pool.
